This mixed-medium original artwork is entitled 'River Barge.'

While driving one day chatting with a new client on the phone, I noticed this spectacular scene. Quickly I hung up, parked in an unauthorized zone ran over to the bridge and began shooting away. The operator noticed and waved too. I wanted to catch it on the other side of the bridge as it passed under, so I darted through rush hour traffic and began shooting it as it moved away from me. In doing so, I recognized the tall Sears Tower in the far distant background and realized I had been driving completely in the wrong direction. Had I not stopped to capture this amazing shot, I would have ended up in Indiana or somewhere!

This original version is calm and somewhat surreal, photographed in 2008.

This image may be hung anywhere and especially where a sense of calm is needed.
